Holy Land & Egypt Pilgrimage
10 Days / 9 Nights | Jordan • Israel • Egypt
Day 1 – Arrival in Jordan | Amman & Madaba
Upon arrival in Amman, begin your pilgrimage with a visit to the historic city of Madaba, famous for its ancient Byzantine mosaics and rich Christian heritage. After exploring this biblical city, transfer to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Mekawer, Mount Nebo & Jabbok River
Visit Mekawer (Machaerus), the fortress where St. John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, before visiting the Jabbok River, associated with Jacob's encounter with God.
Day 3 – Nazareth & Cana
Cross into Israel and travel to Nazareth, where you will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, St. Joseph's Workshop, and the ancient synagogue. Continue to Cana, the site of Jesus' first miracle at the Wedding Feast, before proceeding to Tiberias.
Day 4 – Sea of Galilee, Jordan River & Mount Tabor
Explore the sacred sites surrounding the Sea of Galilee, including the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Tabgha, Mensa Christi, and the Primacy of Peter. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, visit the Jordan River Baptism Site at Yardenit, and conclude the day at Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration, before travelling to Bethlehem.
Day 5 – Mount of Olives, Mount Zion & Bethlehem
Discover the sacred landmarks of Jerusalem, including the Mount of Olives, Chapel of the Ascension, Pater Noster Church, Palm Sunday Road, Garden of Gethsemane, and the Tomb of the Prophets. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room, King David's Tomb, and St. Peter in Gallicantu before visiting Shepherds' Field and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
Day 6 – Jerusalem Old City, Jericho & the Dead Sea
Walk through the Old City of Jerusalem, visiting the Western Wall, the Pool of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, Calvary, and Golgotha. Participate in a special Communion Service at the Garden Tomb before continuing to Jericho to view the Mount of Temptation. End the day with the unforgettable experience of floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea.
Day 7 – Crossing into Egypt & the Red Sea
Depart the Holy Land and travel south through the Jordan Valley before crossing into Egypt via Taba. Spend time relaxing along the beautiful shores of the Red Sea before checking into your hotel.
Day 8 – St. Catherine's Monastery & Cairo
Visit the historic St. Catherine's Monastery, home to the revered Burning Bush and one of the oldest functioning Christian monasteries in the world. Enjoy views of Mount Sinai and Mount Horeb before travelling through the Sinai Peninsula and across the Suez Canal to Cairo.
Day 9 – Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum & Nile Cruise
Explore Egypt's most iconic landmarks, including the magnificent Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Continue to the world-famous Egyptian Museum before visiting the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Conclude the day with a memorable Nile Dinner Cruise, offering spectacular evening views of Cairo.
Day 10 – Old Cairo & Departure
Discover the Christian heritage of Old Cairo with visits to St. George Church, the Hanging Church, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, and the historic Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue to the impressive Mokattam Cave Church before transferring to the airport for your onward journey, bringing your memorable pilgrimage to a close.
